Adhesive FAQs
What adhesive should I use for PVC bathroom wall panels?
We recommend using our ultra strong grab adhesive, which we use for installations ourselves.
Do I need both adhesive and sealant?
In most cases, yes. Adhesive is used to bond the panel to the wall, and sealant is used where a waterproof finish is needed.
Can I use silicone instead of adhesive?
We do not recommend using silicone instead of adhesive. Some installers do use it, but the product we recommend is an ultra strong grab adhesive, which we use for installations ourselves.
How many tubes of adhesive do I need per panel?
We recommend two tubes of adhesive per panel. This can vary depending on how flat the wall is. Uneven surfaces may require additional adhesive to achieve full contact. If you are unsure how much adhesive you need, contact our team and we will help you work it out.
How long should adhesive cure before using the shower?
As a general rule, you should allow around 24 hours before exposing the installation to water, unless the product instructions say otherwise.
Can panel adhesive be used on tiles?
Yes, provided the tiles are sound, clean and properly prepared before installation.
Can adhesive be used on plasterboard?
Yes, as long as the plasterboard is dry, secure and in good condition.
Why do you recommend a grab adhesive?
A strong grab adhesive helps achieve a secure bond and is the product we trust in our own installations.
